Why is HablaYa free? What's the catch?

No catch. HablaYa is funded by LearnWG to make fluency reach people money can't. Daily server-side caps exist as silent abuse guards (so a single account can't burn the whole AI budget), but you'll never hit them in normal use and we never surface them as upgrade prompts.

Do I need a microphone?

No. Type or talk — both work. Speech mode unlocks pronunciation scoring, but you can practice grammar and vocabulary with text only.

Can absolute beginners use it?

Yes. The tutor opens at A1 by default and lets you mix in your native language for explanations, then gradually shifts you toward the target language as you grow.

How much does HablaYa cost?

Is my data private?
